Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Planet Smart City is committed to providing an accessible digital experience to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that accessibility is a fundamental aspect of usability, innovation, and social responsibility.
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) to ensure our website is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest possible audience.

Accessibility Standards and Coverage

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which is widely recognized as the standard for accessible digital content.

In addition to WCAG 2.2, we refer to the principles of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) – Directive (EU) 2019/882 – which promotes equal access to digital services and products within the European Union. While planetsmartcity.com is primarily institutional in nature, it serves an international audience, including European users, and promotes digital products such as platforms and mobile applications.

We are committed to ensuring that all digital services we promote or provide are progressively aligned with the EAA’s requirements and accessibility best practices.

Measures Taken

To ensure compliance and continuous improvement, we have adopted the following practices:

  • Inclusive Design and Development: Accessibility is integrated into our design and development workflows. We use a reusable, accessibility-tested design system that ensures consistency and compliance from early design phases through to deployment.
  • Testing and Evaluation: We perform manual accessibility audits supported by automated tools, including the Siteimprove browser extension and Google Lighthouse. Testing is conducted during each major release and upon the implementation of accessibility-related fixes.
  • Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR): A comprehensive Accessibility Conformance Report based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is available and outlines the current level of compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. View the Accessibility Conformance Report.
  • Third-party Content: We strive to select third-party services and integrations that meet accessibility standards. Where full compliance is not achievable, we work to ensure that alternative access methods are available where possible.

Our Accessibility Pledge

At Planet Smart City, we believe that accessibility is not a one-time task but a continuous commitment to inclusivity and usability for everyone. We view accessibility as a core component of quality and innovation in digital experiences, not as an afterthought.

We pledge to:

  • Prioritize accessibility in our digital design and development choices, even when it may require rethinking timelines or design solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) across our public-facing website.
  • Ensure that accessibility remains a core quality criterion alongside performance, security, and design.
  • Address accessibility issues transparently and promptly, including documenting known limitations in our Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR).
  • Foster a culture of inclusion by continuously evaluating our content and components against accessibility best practices.
  • Enable feedback mechanisms to give all users a voice in shaping a more accessible experience.
  • Make our ACR available upon request, and update it regularly to reflect improvements or changes to our accessibility posture.
  • In any circumstance where there is a conflict between release schedules, design constraints, or technical limitations, we are committed to giving precedence to accessibility—because no digital experience is complete unless it is usable by everyone.
