Smart House Saluzzo 43 is an innovative residential building in the heart of the vibrant San Salvario neighbourhood in Turin. The building is composed of 6 floors above ground level and 1 floor below ground level, totalling 38 housing units for young adults and families.
Located only a few steps away from the Marconi metro stop and Turin’s central train station, the project presents great opportunities for its residents.
The project, developed by REDGroup and Torchio & Daghero, has been designed by Studio MRA, with its innovative layer powered by Planet Smart City’s Competence Centre. Smart House Saluzzo 43 marks the first advisory project undertaken by Planet Smart City outside the sphere of social housing.
Amongst the smart solutions integrated by Planet Smart City are proposals that incentivise a sharing economy, such as the library of things and the bookcrossing corner, initiatives promoting health and wellbeing, such as the fitness area, and guidelines for responsible behaviour and installations, which simplify the building’s management such as the innovative conciergerie and lockers.
The green spaces within the courtyard have been designed with sustainability in mind, focusing on the selection of plants with low maintenance and native species. The courtyard also presents the installation of a bike repair column to encourage the use of light mobility.
All the common areas have been constructed following rigorous technological and environmental standards, as to provide the best possible services for residents. Shared areas have been equipped with smart locks, for controlled access, and a video monitoring system throughout the project to increase residents’ perception of safety.
All of these solutions are facilitated by the use of the Planet App, encouraging residents to meet their neighbours, organise events with one another, and discover everything their future-forward home has to offer.
