Reducing waste, optimising resources, and adopting more sustainable behaviours are just a few of the themes which will be explored in the 2018 edition of the Salone del Gusto, and are also the inspiration behind the #FoodForChange campaign.

Planet Idea, in collaboration with the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, has created an installation for the event which explores ways to reduce waste and our environmental impact. These sixteen illustrated actions will be placed along the route that connects the Fair to the Oval pavilion.

The aim of the project is to make visitors aware of the behaviours and activities that everyone can adopt to reduce the waste of food and resources. At the same time, it demonstrates how cities of the future, with the introduction of smart innovations and policies, can play a fundamental role in reducing global impacts.

Graziella Roccella, the chief operating officer of Planet Idea, will be addressing how innovative solutions can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. She will be presenting at the SEED for Global Goals conference on Friday 21st September from 1 pm to 3 pm in the PT1 ‘Oval Lingotto.

Terra Madre – Salone del Gusto will be held in Turin between 20th and 24th September 2018.
