After a tough first selection, the 15th of March 2016 twelve Israeli startups selected to take part of the final stage of the competition “The 3C Smart Cities Challenge”, pitched on the stage of AWS PopUp Loft in Lilienblum Street, in Tel Aviv, Israel.

3C Smart Cities Challenge was a joint initiative of three leading organisations: Planet Idea & SocialFare | Center for Social Innovation, both based in Italy, and StarTAU, based in Israel, and launched in order to develop a unique proposal combining together three different countries Brazil, Israel and Italy converging in a shared effort to generate social and technological impact.

Building on Israel’s prowess as a technological hub and a leader in hightech fields designed a Challenge with the aim to discover startups and disruptive technologies that will change the future of smart cities in Brazil.

The selected companies work in different sectors and areas but had the common factor to be developing disruptive technologies in solving specific problems of the smart city of the future.

In the short time of 3 minutes, they showed their solution in front of a jury with panellists from StartTAU, Planet Idea, SocialFare, Enerbrain, TycoInnovation and the Smart City Community in Israel
